• The first hit of Barun's career was "baat hamari pakki hai " show. In which Barun played Shravan Jaiswal. Which was very careless and irresponsible person. 

• After that Barun played "Arnav Singh Raijada" in his career's most famous show "iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon ?", due to which he got a different identity throughout the world. Barun's  chemistry with the Sanaya irani in this show was very fond of the people.

• Along with this show, Barun was also doing a film "Main aur Mr right. ", which was released after leaving this show ( iss pyaar ko kya naam doon ?). In which Barun played a Punjabi boy "Sukhwinder (Sukhi)". Which has come to Mumbai  become an actor.This film was released in 2014.
  
   
• In 2015, Barun made his first web show" Tanhaiya". In this web series, Barun deals with the death of his friend. In this series, actor Surbhi  Jyoti was the co-actress  of Barun.  

 

• Barun again released the film "Tu Hai My Sunday", in which barun played "Arjuna Anand" the film was released abroad in 2016. But in India, the film was released in 2017.

• In 2017, a third part of Barun's famous show "iss Pyaar Ko kya naam doon? 3" came, but because of the casting of Shivaani Tomar in place of Sanaya, the audience opposed the show, due to which the show closed in three months.

• Soon, Barun's second web series "The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family" was released on Alt Balaji. In this show barun played "samar ranawat".K.K. Menon was seen with Barun too. And this web show was a huge hit.
